Morrison's are selling half Sirloins for £40, approx 3.8kg each, whereas the piece they cut the steaks from is £23 per kg. Slaughtered and packed at Colne, Lancashire UK 4471.
Woodheads and Morrison’s used to be tied up with one another. Business wise and through marriage I believeI think Morrisons meat is very good! I never dreamed I'd be saying that about supermarket meat, but I can't fault it.
They only buy the best of lamb
Probably woodheads! Is there a problem with them doing this ?
Nah they only keep that for the less diserning customers , the better class of consumer only want a fine quality cumbrian product........I wishThe frozen stuff in the freezer with NZ stamped on it?
Still are.Woodheads and Morrison’s used to be tied up with one another. Business wise and through marriage I believe
Back in the day when I did 750-900 kg live weigh bullocks Young Jo Woodhead used to buy at Darlington mart and give decent money for them.
I do the same and its always miles better than any supermarket we have bought out of in the past, I have found that buying meat from the super market is a bit of a lottery, you never quite know what you might get. imo support the local farm shop, butcher, they are more consistent and just as cheap.Morrison’s is good for fresh meat. However, I buy my steak and meat for cooking from our local farm shop as I know the two farms where the meat originates and happy to support that chain. Damn good steaks as well!!
All the local butchers and farm shops round here get their cattle out of the local martsI do the same and its always miles better than any supermarket we have bought out of in the past, I have found that buying meat from the super market is a bit of a lottery, you never quite know what you might get. imo support the local farm shop, butcher, they are more consistent and just as cheap.
We should be cursing them for being so cheap, not praising them.

There is a certain irony in @Netherfield not supporting the local farm shop but I'm sure he buys other stuff there.
