This little lad arrived this morning
That will teach me to keep my mouth shut. After telling the neighbours that we don’t start calving until 1 April
Looking through Herdwatch she calved on the 20 March last year
I’ll gloat this fact to them to mitigate my lack of management skills

How do you rate it as a tractor, has it been fairly reliable?
Is there much of a delay on the forward/reverse shuttle with them?

I like it, we only really do road work with it and rake hay though, it's a bit gutless in the field unless you have it revving, it's only 135hp Perkins, it's the smoothshift box.

Shuttle is a loose term, it has to be stopped completely and the clutch pressed.
Soon clicks into gear though.
Reverse is very slow.

Rear suspension is crashy but I suspect it wants some new spheres.

It doesn't get used enough, I doubt it does more than 200 hours a year, it's an extravagance on a hill farm but it replaces a defender/pickup, towing a sheep dipper on contract work and with a 20ft livestock box for moving our own stock.
Means FIL buzzes around in a little diesel van for cheaps.

Thank you, never really spent much time looking at them, one has caught my eye, but I think the forward/reverse would be an issue for my job :(

You can pre select reverse and there is a button on end of forward/reverse lever for clutchless changes, braking helps speed change a bit.
It is just changing the range box tho, so not quickest. Reverse speeds match forward medium range best.
The Cummins engined models hold on a lot better
