On point of ordering a new trailer, blacks a no cost option. Just wondering if anyone's got one and regretted it, thinking about seeing trailer against roof when tipped, and how about keeping them clean ?

Not sure I could do it... there’s a few round here and they all look old now, dull, streaks, soap stains, dusty...

Saw some cool Richard westerns in gunmetal grey and liked them!
Just rather thinking if I got a black one behind my fastrac I might get confused with the Richardson brothers

There's not much between them really, the western seems as well built, it rocks about a bit more but we put that down to the tyres, this is our first with floatation tyres.

Silage contractor who comes here runs 14t Richard Westerns and 18t Stewarts. All on similar flotations. The Westerns are like a boat compared to the larger Stewarts, and having pulled both on our banks I know which ones I prefer. If given a choice, even to come up country, his lads will leave the RWs in the yard and take the Stewarts every time. I was assuming it was down to stiffer springs on the 18 tonners until you said your big RW rocks too.

Theyre not massively different but slightly, the western is a lot bigger as a silage trailer than the 16ton stewarts. Its not bad enough that the Stewarts get used first anyway.

I bought a Marshall that the previous owner had painted Claas green ( badly)
Claas dealer was keen to get it moved on so it was cheap
Its now Red
My favourite colour for trailers
