My jd 6620 commonrail engine has started misfiring, it's fine when working but if you leave it 5 mins on tick over it'll misfire any ideas please

There was 1 the other day can't remember what code it was but it said in the book problem with fuel, I've deleted them now but it hasn't come back up again

If there are no codes it's probably an injector problem. If the code is 001347.07 and the filters and fuel system are clean then it may be the suction control valve.

Hoses degrade over time, dirt could be in the tank, filters could be past their best etc.. If you're changing the filters, make sure the O ring is present / good between the primary filter and the glass bowl. I prefer genuine filters too..

It's a very expensive thing but so long as you're sure everything else is fine then you could fit one. Buy it on a 'stock order', you may get a discount.. Keep everything clean when you fit it and smear grease on the O-ring sparingly..
RE531864 - Suction control valve..
