What do you think people would be willing to pay to rent bare arable land with no bps or countryside stewardship. ( landlord keeping both) Am playing with figures and was just wandering especially With this brexit thingy turning into an utter shambles and the threat of a Corbyn lead government getter closer by the day

West Sussex could be on Chichester Plain and be Grade 1 land so always worth money even without any other income other than the crop.
However if marginal tired Downland on the north escarpment then I think you are best to walk away!

Would it not depend on the duration of the rent agreement?

For some it will be what their forward budgets allow, for others it will depend on how big a balls they think they may have!

Ring fenced? 10 year agreement? How many acres? Can i build a parlour on it?
Is there any labour nearby that's willing to milk cows?
