Im up for regular weight loss updates.

Im 6ft 4in and tipped 18st on the scales at xmas, I NEED to sort it out. Every year I say it but I'm now the wrong side of 40 so itll get harder from here on.
Ive not had any sugar, crisps, sweets, biscuits or fizzy drinks since the turn of the year.

Breakfast is now some natural yogurt with fresh fruit, lunchtime consists of a couple of poached eggs on a slice of toast or the like instead of 2 fried bacon rolls, a coffee with sugar and a couple biscuits.

I was having a couple of choccie biscuits (caramel log/drifter/taxi type thing) after lunch then again with my coffee after dinner, that's a packet of chocolate biscuits every 2 days! I don't do or unpack the shopping so I wasn't seeing what was being bought. Its actually quite scary to see the shite food I was consuming in a week.

I used to be very active shooting a couple of hundred deer a year but now Im in a telehandler, pickup or office these days so its more important now than ever before.

I have done it gradually...probably just over a year now. Not really weighed myself and dropped a couple of dress sizes. No fancy diets just cut the rubbish....eat less and move more.
Stock up with low calorie snacks, some crisps have a lot less calories and solero ice creams and meringue nests with squiry cream for a sweet fix
Having someone else doing it with you helps a lot, I am now helping my neighbour and we are walking/running together a few times a week.

Best of Luck.

101 kg a week /10 days ago and 98.8 this morning. I done slimming world a few years ago and done well so trying to do it again. Using Samsung health app on my phone to keep track of what I eat. Need to eat less nice things clothes starting to not fit and I'm not buying new bigger clothes. Aiming to be 75ish kg but we'll see how easy that is once I get nearer it.

Some really awesome replies - thank you.

Having wondered around LAMMA It was noticeable the size of some of the attendees - it probably reflects the state of the UK population but I still think that we as an industry eat like we were living in the 1950s (and doing everything by hand) when in fact I think some of the roles in agriculture now are more sedentary than office work - cooked breakfast anyone?

I have started to record my intake and will let you know how I get on.

Nearly everyone has mentioned the importance of working with other people to motivate yourself running etc - so I am going to work out how to get that into the mix.

Watch this space.

So the eatin less has made some progress. I've stopped taking sugar in tea and dont miss it at all. Can't quite have coffee without it yet but down to half a spoon from 2 heaped spoons so it's an improvement. Still on smaller portions for main meals. Belly is starting to feel a bit smaller even or it might just be me wife can't see a difference and finds the whole thing quite funny :(:finger: but it's not been long I suppose.
Have found a stumbling block though. Chocolate biscuits  really hard not to eat them when they are just there in the cupboard waiting for me :hungry: especially penguins
This is particularly frustrating because they never really bothered me before I started eating less :banghead: suppose my body is craving calories? Won't be buying any more and wife is under orders not to buy any either because I'm the only one that does seem to he eating them all
Anyway keeping this thread updated to keep myself motivated so you can all take the pee out of me if my trousers still don't fit properly in a few months (y)

One thing I do now at the moment is buy 70-80% Chocolate and just have a small bit of it. You don't actually want anymore because its so strong and is quite nice when you get used to it.

Its weird, i had a bit of cheese at tea time and it was amazing! Could have eaten a whole block of it.

Its the body's natural instinct not to lose weight. So guess your brain tells you to do opposite of what your wanting to do.

I know what you mean. I've just counted the wrappers in the front pocket of my hoodie (can't he arsed walking to the bin in the other room  ) I've eaten 3 penguins while washing the dishes  I could have eaten the whole pack :hungry:
Now you've mentioned cheese I really want to go and attack the stilton that's in the bottom of the fridge since Christmas

Ive got through the Christmas food! Im bad at weekends, if we've friends round i tend to eat more. Have been weighing myself on Mondays, was 97.2 this week. So nearly a kg a week.

Been told scales are a bad idea, its more about overall lifestyle changes, but there good for motivation.

I won't be buying any more. There are 12 penguins and 4 KitKat's left when they are gone they are gone :(
How sad is it that I counted
Now would it be better to ration them out or binge on the whole lot in one go and get it over with :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I've eaten most of it but there is still the cheese and the chocolate that no one likes left in a tin somewhere
We don't have any scales in the house but I don't know what I weigh anyway. I've been counting holes on my belt as a way to keep track of anything I've lost proper high tech I am

Remember watching a programme about weigh loss and it said yo measure your height and cut a piece of string to that length, fold it in half and try and put it round you. When it goes round you then youre the right size for your height. Waist = half your height. Haven't tried it yet to see how far away I am
