I think there must have been another time keeping balls up today, my email says 43 minutes, but I think I was driving home by then!! (Definitely something wrong, because according to the website, the girl I overtook on the final stretch was over 4 minutes behind me).

Anyway, that doesn't bother me, but by crikey that wind was something this morning! 40mph straight in your face all the way along the sea wall. And the course is properly wet now, after yesterday's rain, and as we're 75% on grass (mud now) it reminds me of the school cross-countries that I hated all those years ago!

Aside from these elite athletes that have appeared on this thread :shifty:......... back in OFB (Old Fat Bloke) land...... :D:D

237th out of 457 ..... 28m 58s.... flip me it was windy!!
We do a long old straight (x2) then turn right which on Saturday was face on into the wind. Those of us with "broader shoulders" that are not "aerodynamic" struggled a bit! Still it was sub 29 ... (y)(y)

One participant was celebrating her 100th Parkrun..there was cake...:hungry::hungry:

Mrs M forgot her gloves and was on barcode scanning so I lent her mine coz I`m a hero...:D

On holibobs next week so it either radio silence or Parkrun tourism at Seaton & Windsor. :)

I tracked a 'run' the other day, first one i've put into Strava in a long time.

...I decided I'd try a REAL power-walk. You know, that one where you look like you are trying to get to the loo before it reaches your socks.

I did 5k in 40 mins, so not very quick, but it was damn hard work. Legs were locked stiff for the next 48hours.

I’ve been struck down with a second bout of exasabation of my asthma :arghh: missed 2 short runs last week because of it, manned up and did 16 miles on Sunday which didn’t seem to overly make it worse and I felt completely fine and now I should do 8 miles tonight but chest has got progressively worse over the day :cautious: to run or not to run :scratchhead::nailbiting:

First proper run in several weeks but definitely a running morning, (y) Cool but not cold, sun was out and pacemakers on track, even arrived on time! New PB 26.13 Despite @JCMaloney failures to supply motivational photos :ROFLMAO: Now to spend the rest of the day stiffening up sitting on the tractor spreading fert, in February, it often a novelty to get the spinner on here before April :wacky::wacky:
