Maize is trading @ £35 to £45 so cant see grass being £45 but you only need two bidders.

I said maize was trading at up to 45 . 2500 ton sold at Monmouth this week at £38 to £40 in 100 ton lots . Was a good sample. My neibour sold grass at £30 but I'm not surprised you sold silage at £45

Its a sellers market at the moment there's some dairy farmers in a uncomfortable place at the moment without plenty of others that could do with a buffer zone in place I know the days a drawing out but there's plenty of winter about

Just sold a lorry load of good to average hay of 4ft rounds. Quite happy with £22.5, but what's the verdict ?

Depends on location......when you hear prices of £200 / ton ( nearly 3 round bales / ton ) that sounds cheap. If your in one of those places where there's a fodder surplus.....fair.
