Disappointed, thought they would have upped it a bit, think mine will be going live this week
Need to look after long term suppliers , they are now owned by a different firmIn a space of 6 months, St Merryn have gone from the best paying per kg, to the worse. They were the ones setting the price leading the field, now they are just dragging behind, price wise.
Could you explain why they sell like this as it’s guess work as opposed to a actual weight on the scales?
Very surprised this happens
You’d have to ask Messrs. Kivells.
That’s the way it is in their markets.
Not actually correct!
At Exeter they sell prime sheep by their liveweight ( ie 42/45 kilos etc )
Market reports are by liveweight too. And no, I don’t understand it either.
Maybe what the buyers want?
Heard woodheads are putting an extra cattle line in to kill another 180 a day
Well where is it all going? Plenty of beef in the Morrisons up hereThey need to do something as there is hardly ever any beef on their supermarket shelves around here!

Have you asked the manager or emailed them? As I say plenty on the shelves up here and they have a butchers counterDon't know tbh but most times you go in there and it doesn't matter what time of day the shelves will be at best 25% full and if you go in say after 7pm quite often there is none on the shelve, people walk up, cant see any and then walk off towards the chicken section.
Who's up 10 pences on Hogg'sHoggs up 10pk to £4.20 for next week.
Any news on if ABP/dunbia etc are stand on or up for clean cattle next week?

Once they get everyone signed up to send them lambs with their free haulage and collection centres they’ll screw the life out of you like they do with the cattleNortheastfarmers favourite company... not
