If the bloke arrives promptly and does a good job with a decent and up-together sprayer then don't baulk at any cost.

£5 an acre seems about a good ball park but paying a snip more is not going to hurt.
£5-6/acre depending on field and job size. That assumes 100 litres/ha water volume and good water supplied. My own cost is less than half that but that's because My farm is mostly ring fenced with regular shaped fields, 36m trailed sprayer that does liquid fertiliser too.

I agree about water. A clean water tank for spraying should be available for a sprayer man to use. Every farm should have one anyway in case there is a fire so the fire service can use it. You could be miles away from the nearest hydrant.

I don’t do a lot of contract spraying but when I do it’s £5.50ac, average field size round here is 15-20 ac though.

I’m paying £11 ha,contractor has our chemicals delivered to him,he supplies his own water and disposed of our cans too.
