Anyone sold any hoggs today
Big ones would be better than that up here I’d hopeI popped into Welshpool to see their first Wednesday afternoon sale of the season. Prices were certainly up compared to Monday, for all apart from the 62kg lambs making £90.
There must have been at least 200 in.
So weight you think they might beI was joking...

Wont make any difference and they will be as good as any.I weighed a few hoggs other day quite a few over 60kg! Been in a field on its own since they were weaned, I knew they were big hoggs but they were a little larger than I thought!! Most are texel x mules with a few 3/4 texels so i think I’m going to pull the big gimmers out and keep them if the job doesn’t improve for the heavy hoggs. Only problem with them is that they are all my reared triplets which I don’t normally keep back to breed from - does anyone else?
And...
If only they were this yearHis hoggs are all 60kg+,and worth £160+ last April.
