Abreast parlour price

Just wondering how much people think they are worth? Theres one coming up for auction fairly local to me at the end of of the month but not sure how much they are worth? It's a 6 abreast parlour. Looking to milk my own cows in the future (within the next 5 years but ideally asap) not bothered by numbers and would rather start small (about 20ish cows calving/year) and grow to 50 when money and land allows hence why a little abreast parlour would suit. Any advice would be much appreciated.

can you get a contract for so few litres? unless you've a plan to process your own it's a non starter for me. Sorry

I can get a contract so long as I'm producing a minimum of 1000 litres every other day. Want to have pedigree holsteins doing 9000 litres/lactation. So at 18 milking (3-4 dry) 9000/305 = 29.5 x 2 = 58 × 18 = 1044 litres. This would be bare minimum numbers and would hopefully be a few more

A lot less than scrap price because of the time to remove etc. Bought an old 16/16 for £300. New 3phase compressor was worth £1500 on its own. Used the ADF here and sold most of the rest.
Keep it as intact as possible and use a couple of loaders etc to move it. Welding it all back together takes a long time!

Where are you? (it helps if it is in your profile). The stallwork on ours is not worth saving, but if you (or anyone else) need any other bits as spares you are welcome to them from ours (Fullwood / Gasgoine) free to a good home. We have several 6 or 7 gallon jars ready to move - another farmer is having some but we've about 12 and we'd rather they helped several people as he is probably not using them all for the parlour anyway. The only thing we would want any money for is the cluster flush system (6 milking points) as that has only seen a few year's work.

We made our original abreast from a complete 8 place bail, had feed loft and shovel feeders originally, we cast the step base, dragged it on, removed th back skid and dropped the legs Into sockets we thin concreted in. Roofed it back to a shed with clear sheet, it was a very cheap parlour to put together.

I bought an abreast parlour back in 2001 paid £100 for parlor £50 for the tank and moved it bit by bit in the cattle trailer after all new rubbers etc and refrigeration concreate and getting walls done the total cost to start milking was just over 2 grand
I know prices have increased on some things but it’s not that difficult to do and first months milk cheque from 30 cows covered it
