MF 135 loader

Good afternoon all..... bought myself another project after I sold the international. its a MF135 which I am going to build as a garden / small holding tractor with a total rebuild. I have bought a power loader that has come off a MF 240..... I also want to adapt a forklift tines to fit does anybody know if there is an off the self attachment. Thank you in advance...Hugh

Either make the pallet forks carrier/backing plate fit inside the loader arms like the bucket above or as Gb says fit a Euro headstock and alter your attachments to suit it. To fit a standard Euro headstock to a MF 80 loader, the hook end arms need unbolted and swapped side for side so that the headstock is in front of the arms rather than inside them. The only snag is that it sets the attachment a few inches further forward on the loader. Not really ideal on a 135.I'm guessing it won't have power steering either?
IIRC,@multi power has a headstock on an 80 loader.
You'll see the hook end arms swapped over here to reduce the width.......

I don't have e photo to hand but I shortened the hooks by about 9 inches to keep the load closer to the tractor

i've been debating doing just that, at least for a first attempt to see how it behaves.
Now, if that works, what is the point of the linkage?
The linkage is needed in the original design to get sufficient crowd and dump angle
I done a lot of welding bits on and grinding them off again before I got it right, I also swapped to a longer ram, and have the option of several positions too
I'm very pleased with how it all works now

I can supply a kitbof parts to make up 80 Power brackets if required or can supply them welded up, ready to go on to your attachments.

I have seen forklift attachments made from a carriage from a scrap forklift with appropriate brackets welded on the back. A standard carriage might be a bit narrow to do one for an 80 power though, from memory, the brackets need to be 1255mm centres.

I kinda figured lots of trial and error with the welder and grinder would be necessary.
Thanks

Would love some pics if you get a chance

I've done a good bit of chopping and changing on a ford MIL loader which now has a euro hitch on it. I'd reccomend making up some dummy links for testing and removing the hoses from your crowd ram so you can trial and error different link lengths by hand.

a piece of pipe and some flat or angle can make half a link rod, make another and then clamp them together at different lengths to figure out your optimal geometry.

or if you want to get technical you can play with this guy. http://blog.rectorsquid.com/linkage-mechanism-designer-and-simulator/ (although it's not the most intuitive thing in the world to use I found it helpful at times)

I think i might have tried that simulator already.

I have this project almost daily in the back of my mind because several times a week i feel it'd be handy to have pallet forks.
I need to straighten one of the loader arms, every time i order propane for the central heating i keep back a bottle to go and run the gas axe over it and twist it back, then it doesn't happen and the gas has to go for it's intended use.

definitely do it. pallet forks were my motivation for finally putting the headstock on mine, and man was it worth it. it's still only a 4600, it can't lift a pallet of fert or anything, but the ease of moving and handling stuff, combined with the ease of chopping and changing.

make it a priority

easier said than done, but it'll be worth it.

I collect 1 or 2 half ton bags of pig feed every week, i currently lift using a mismatched set of hanging hooks affixed on the loader frame work, forks would make that weekly job easier and give me more reach for depositing the bags.
