Cool lunch boxes/bags.

So, it has quickly got to that time of year where I'm spending a lot of hours on the tractor, I've had enough of old ice cream tubs and warm drinks and sandwiches and melted chocolate bars....

So, naturally I've looked for the green classic Stanley Aladdin lunch/cool box only to find they have been discontinued, I have found them in the US but it looks to cost a fortune to import them.

I like the look of their newest alternative, Stabnley Adventure QT7, only to find it wont fit where I want it to go, by the r/h door next to the go pedal on my Case Maxxum. Same cab as Puma, Optum, NH T6/T7.

Has anyone any suggestions, I've had a quick look but nothing looks 'rugged' enough, that or dimensions aren't provided.... I'm too tired and busy to go hunting in depth yet, not until it rains anyway.

Not looking for anything massive as I don't take big/lots of dinner. Just sandwiches, pack of crisps, a choccy bar, banana, couple of cans of drink, my flask, travel mug and big bottle go in the passenger seat or the cool box where the dash used to be.

Any suggestions much appreciated!

Are you serious? I'm up and gone before Mrs Moor has finished the cup of tea I take her as I leave.

an Engle bolted into the back of the ute for cold water / sandwiches / fruit or anything else you want to keep cool :whistle:

the good old lunch box / thermos combination for taking into a cab, along with either a 2.5 or 5 litre water bottle ( you can just see the top of one behind the Alladin thermos )
NEVER take cans / bottles of "pop" with me, don't drink it. Lots of water / black tea is the essential in an AC cab all day ( or any day for that matter )

I cant stand using soft bags etc, need a soild "box" to stop things getting crushed

The back of any well equipped ute
Very happy with the "Safengle" I bought to keep my fridge secure. Almost an essential accessory ( the Engle ) for any ute around here :ROFLMAO:(y)

Note the handy little multi purpose bottle opener tool built into the locking bar ( which I don't use to lock it, the box is mainly to protect the fridge & keep it secure, rather than just tying it down with a ratchet strap )

we have a big range of "rugged" insulated lunch boxes available here, its not only farmers, but tradies, construction industry, mining industry, recreation ( boating / camping / fishing etc etc ) . . .
walk into any hardware or outdoors / camping shop & there are shelves full of them

old ice cream tubs :eek::scratchhead::whistle::rolleyes::ROFLMAO:

I will admit, the Stanley Aladdin thermos / box combo IS expensive, but if you are using it daily . . .

get an old 5 litre spray can cut the top off it for sarnies, and a glass bottle with a sock on it for black tea,
sorted,

the Aladdin cool box combi flask is good, i have had my box 25 years now, and still good, the flask however is not so good at keeping hot, 3rd flask, all been the same, the box is not so good if using it for cans, they take room up, and rattle, rub on the floor of the box, and mark it,
for a long time now, i have not taken cans, as sugary drinks do nothing for you and make you dry again in short time, plain water is ok, but will find you will not get a container to fit the box that will hold water,
i now take Aldi bottled sparkling water with a touch of flavour and very low on sugar, its a good half way house for them not liking plain water,
1 litre bottle is 30 odd pence,
if you are carrying fizzy pop, it needs to be stored upright, or you will find when laid flat and only half full, it sloshes from end to end and goes flat, and we men have 3 things we don't like flat, tyres, boobs and pop,
a good idea is to make a holder off a bracket against one of the air con vents that holds one drink upright, air con blowing on it chills it
