11th October , everything is growing rapidly after the hot weather and rain . Awns starting to show on winter barley , Terpal was applied in a bit of a panic after seeing the weather forecast . It wouldn't have waited until the weather calmed down .

Crops have gone from leaf 3 just poking to leaf 2 25% out in many crops here since Monday. Only other time I’ve seen it move this fast was 2011 when it went from leaf 3 75% out to flag leaf full out in 2 weeks and I ended up putting the T2 on as an ear wash.

Finished T1 sprays today now starting to think about T2 sprays wondering and keep looking at long term weather to get some idea of what to expect .
So far t0 1 lt ctl
t1 1lt ctl and 0.8 zypher or 1lt teb with 1 lt of ctl
t2 will be 1lt ctl + ??
High septoria risk region .
Wondering what others are thinking of using .

T1 only went on here today.....and crop is still clean.

Graham is knee high. Costello a tad behind. Both sown late waiting for moisture in the autumn.

My T1ish spray (0.5 Epoxi 1CTL) went on too early to get some cover for before last weeks rain (6.5mm in the end) not having put a T0 on.
So I’ll be looking at putting possibility the same again on leaf 2 and see
In what the forecast looks like, if it stays dry and comes warmer crops will run to ear quickly so I might end trying to catch both flag leaf and ear at the same time. If it’s still dry and the ear is out I’ll probably go Aviator 0.8 otherwise it’ll be whatever SDHI comes in as best VFM. Oh if only we had an accurate 4week weather forecast!

You are in a high risk area but T1 was only 1L CTL and 0.8L Zephyr?? I know zephyr is a good product but that is brassy in my book for our neck of the woods..:nailbiting:

I like Elatus Era it did well for us in 2017 and topped the on farm ADAS fungicide trial that year. Last year it was just pipped to the post by Ascra which surprised me as on of Elatus’s claims is increased drought tolerance. But at the minute I just can’t see that that sort of spend is justified here, but still have a little while to change my mind.
