Shorter than a disco though - more like an old Foretrack in some ways?

If I had the cash, I would be tempted - buy an early one and flog it for a profit in a year whilst there is still a waiting list on them.

maybe a 90 and a 110 version ??

Land rover as making customers sign "no flipping" contacts I believe now - a friend who just had a new discovery was made to sign such an agreement just last week, stooped him selling to anyone but the dealer for 6 months

Would that be legally enforceable? I suspect it could be considered as restriction of trade and not allowed. Not sure why LR don't just make the warranty non-transferrable instead.

no idea if enforceable but I can see why manufacturers are doing this. People have been making livings out of getting on a Porsche or Ferrari early delivery list !!

Salesmen being bribed - all sort of stories !

i'm guessing mid 30's - but the sky being the limit if you go mad on the option list

You are having a laugh if you think the new Defender will be mid 30s. I bet the thing is near 50K with a few options. It will have the new ZF gearbox, heavens knows what engine and a very upmarket interior. It might look rugged but it will be engineered in the same way as the Discovery and be well away from anything like the original Defender.

I was talking to a dealer sales guy today - they don't know for sure but hes been told mid 30's

I would guess that about right but I also expect of you want you could spec one to more than double than price

a D4 commercial was well under 40 and old defender was mid 20's

Fudge me, if its that cheap it will have its guts stripped out, the engine from a transit and no posh 8 speed gearbox....
