Yes, too many people in the world, but never get talked about, will only get worse
Population control is a tricky subject, but nature has its ways antibiotics are failing fast, if they do fail so will our population problems.

I am not wishing for it to happen but antibiotics will fail at some point.
It’s similar in comparison with farmers fight with black grass.

I think the most important not widely understood element of our precarious foothold on this planet is. . .
Which goes hand in hand with climate change but gets little coverage.

There's a huge problem of entitlement with regards flying. Our farm club kids were telling me yesterday that they are going to Iceland on a geography trip (with the same teachers who are telling their pupils that eating meat is destroying the planet). When I suggested that Snowdonia was plenty far enough for a geography trip as it was for us, and that they shouldn't be flying, one of them most most offended. You probably have to conclude that attitude change wont happen fast enough, and legislation from a far greener Government than we have now is the only hope.

Air travel is as cheap as it is ever going to get. Enjoy it because it will rapidly become more expensive. Even Emma Thompson will think twice about flying across the Atlantic to protest about climate change!

I can understand the desire of governments to tax the hell out of everything that moves ..

But do you seriously think the privilaged, rich and famous will ever be taxxed ?

Monaco, Luxemburg, Bahamas, Isle of Mann .. Climate Change is self censorship, taxation and nilhism by indoctrination. Those that are vulnerable to death cults will willingly give their lives away .. let the lemmings be lemmings and do us all a favour.

The rich will never be in the position you are because THEY don't live under the same rules, laws, taxation you do.

Good interview in Saturday's Western Morning News with the head man at North Wyke Research unit at Okehampton. They are going to turn an area over to food crop production to replicate a "no livestock" farming scenario. This will mean no animal manures, no straw sales, in trying to grow bread making wheat within sight of Dartmoor. As a Govt funded establishment all results will be available to the public.

i did a fag packet calc on co2 sequestration v co2 emissions the other day....i'm pretty sure our farm is carbon neutral....i reckon plenty of others on here are to

if we're to be carbon neutral flying has to be massively curtailed and these chinese ships bringing in consumer crap have either got to stop...or not steam home largely empty

climate change is caused by urban not rural ppl

Of course the really rich won't pay their share of the tax. They can afford better accountants & lawyers. The middle classes get squeezed instead. Still the top 10% of earners paying 75% of the UK tax haul though.

Why can't we have more high speed electric trains and less aircraft
Tunnel from Cardiff to Devon Coast Tunnel from Portsmouth to France . Bullet train straight through who wants to fluff about flying

Or maybe just decide where you want to live and stay there? Why should folks from Cardiff (or Edinburgh, or Manchester or anywhere else) keep jetting back and forth to France.

And yes, I know I'm a hypocrite by stating that, but it is true.

Thats interesting, so its 24% worldwide for Ag and other land use (but even then 20% is ofset). But its only 10% in the UK. Which shows how efficient our farming is by comparison. Just shows that outsources food production to other parts of the world isn;t a great idea environmentally.

Or UK ag is so small compared to other sources of CO2 in Britain we seem insignificant. 67 million people on this tiny island, many of whom have high carbon habits.
