You mean 4640? Yes I would agree! If you want to spend that kind of money! Plenty of 2630s about with doc premium already unlocked. Agrarian is ok? Think it's pretty difficult to do proper VR maps from scratch on it? Any screen from 2630 and above will be compatible with anything for the next few years at least!
Yes, sorry 4640:rolleyes:, plenty of 2630’s about for reasonable money but may still need activations if used. I also can’t help but think how long before they start fazing it out same as the 2600?

AgriAn seems pretty straight forward to use, I’ve only played with it but if you want to create a seed map from a field in operations centre you literally just select the field and click the link and it will auto populate it into agriAn and you can select what layer you want to use (yield map, soil zone, or manually draw polygons) you can then set your max and min rates and get it to auto create the map. Works really well if doing it from a yield map, and you can tweak the number of zones. It is then saved to the date manager for export as a shp file.
As I said that’s as far as I’ve ever gone with it though as I use Rhiza-UK’s toolbox software to create my seed maps.

I m the same as you! Never really looked at Agrarian in depth! Only made a tillage prescription just to see if my 2630 would recognise the shape file!

Yes sounds like I need
auto track unlock and doc premium unlock
any thing else ?
I would speak to your dealer! Unlike the signal type which is unlocked and locked in the dome. Alot of secondhand units will have these already unlocked. You might get charged a premium compared to an unlocked one but I still reckon it's worth it!

Yep they have a 2600 for with auto track if I want it but may wait till a 2630 pops up.

It’s worth talking to the dealer about a screen upgrade, a friend just swapped a 2600 to a 2630 for £1500, it definitely had autotrack and documentation but not sure what else.

That's the key isn't t it!! If you have a yield map to start from!

My original plan was to start doing seed maps using yield maps through agriAn, however after buying an isobus drill to do vr the week before we where due to start drilling agriAn was pulled from operations centre for 6 months due to data transfer legislation! However I’m very happy with the Rhiza software platform, we now do be p & k and also N using satellite imagery.

Definitely! 2600 is nearly on the way out 2630 is a much more reliable screen too! Have broken 2 2600s and never a problem with the 2630 as its Gen4 compatible you re future proofing yourself a bit if you ever upgrade again in future

@Case290 I’ve literally just done this seed map on my phone whilst making a brew, it was that easy! Using an old yield map, I could then add additional zones using the tabs if I wanted to overwrite an area. May have to give it a try on a field and see how it goes:D

My John Deere .com all up and running and have a map with all my fields on but have to tidy up things as I have doubled up some fields and fields we no longer have . where would I do that and also thought I could add some previous yrs cropping data. ?

Go into tools and chose Land manager you can edit fields and boundary s and AB lines within that and if you delete anything it gets deleted to an archive in case you ever want to recover anything you have deleted.

Yes you can through JD data transfer program.

Thanks but it seems I need to learn more how to use the app. I should have clarified that I do not have any JD devices, just wanted to use generic files like shape files that many other devices and applications accept. I even did not manage to upload a VRA file made for JD by cropsat.
