AG 3000 repair/replacement

I've got an AG3000 receiver that has stopped seeing satellites after an update. This is beyond the local dealer’s repair capabilities, they have kindly loaned me another to keep me going. Just looking for opinions on the best way forward. The receiver runs a steer ready isobus MF6616 through a data 4 screen. I would like a new hardware solution to be transferable to an as yet non-steer ready, isobus MF 6718S with a field star 5 screen.

It stopped getting egnos correction, so I thought we’ll just get the software updated and that’ll sort it. After the update it wouldn’t see anything. It’s a bit frustrating if a software update has screwed it up! They updated the loan receiver in the same fashion and that one works?

Sounds like they have buggered it!! Maybe the loan unit is fair compensation.

I’ll add to that, I’ve been told hardware is beyond it, by the dealer, but with some luck and help on here, and a capable laptop I’ve got two systems back up and running.

They want it back when they sell the sprayer...that maybe some time.

My completely unqualified opinion is they may have left stray software on the system which is preventing the update working. Any tips would be welcome.

Get the hair dryer out and swap serial number stickers nothing wrong with my unit mate

I’m out of my depth and have probably riding my luck enough so I’ll leave it to the professionals. Good luck!
