Krone Comprima F155XC

Keep going

Hello all

Does anyone have/use one of these balers?

Will they make as dense/heavy a bale of silage/haylage as a Mchale ?

Reliable beyond 20/30,000 bales ?

Any feedback from users or past users appreciated

I've a v150xc which is infinitely variable from 90 to 155cm bales, and starts rolling the centre from about the second crop enters the slats.

The f155 is hybrid that starts rolling after there is about 60cm of crop inside.

Bit like comparing a roller and belt chamber machine, except....

.... They've the same pickup which will literally lift everything from wet ankle length grass leaf, to straw dust.

The density and bake weight is on a par with roller balers, but it doesnt require the same high hp to make the bale.

Build quality wise mine isn't near 30,000 bales by a long way yet, but Krone we offering a 30,000 bale guarantee when I bought it, do they don't think they'll give bother before then!

Best thing is to get a demo in a field with a competitor and see what you think.

That's what I did, and bought the Krone.

we have had 3 comprima this last one webought is far far better than previous models because it is the xtreme model heavier chains all round thicker pick up tines but most importantly heavier trace belts . we had trouble snapping trace belts on previous 2 models but we do run them full pressure all the time. A good all round fast baler. mchale a good machine very strong had problems with belts twisting driver could not get on with it so had another Krone. but think driver could have tried a bit more

Was it an edge belt?
We suffer in light crops with narrow rows trick is when it starts flapping a belt fill that side only bad at start of a bale.

yes spot on. we now have every thing rowed up with twin rotor rake We will look at McHale again when we swop We do get fantastic back for the Comprima from Sharnford Tractors . not really got a McHale dealer close by as Farol lost dealership

A quick question on a mc hale 5500 baler, our contractor has one and chopped our 1st cut ryegrass with it and we found them not that tight enough or well made, I don't want to fall out with him but how good a bale will these 5500 models make?

Should pack them tight enough to give netwrap problems, you then just back pressure off a little. I would think he's got pressure turned down or he's not pressuring door down.

Copper washer may need replacing in the spool block if pressure drops off quickly
