Rawlbolts for Load Bars to Concrete

Morning all,

I have Tru-test HD5T load bars to bolt into Concrete to finish our handling system.
They appear to require M16 bolts.

Anyone have previous experience on doing such a job, and what is the best Rawlbolt/Rawlplugs to use?

Pretty simple job, but I dont want to make an arse of it,
cheers

I think im right in saying that the 'feet' shouldnt be fixed ridgid for the cells to work properly. ?
Ours isnt anyway although their is a crate/ tray bolted to the actual bars.

For bolting stuff to concrete we now use 'concrete bolts', easier to fix and stronger than rawls ime..... just use the correct sized drill bit and clean the dust out of the hole before screwing the bolt in .

I used to install fixed equipment. 30 years ago we dropped Rawbolts and changed to Parabolts or similar from Fischer. You could also use Fischer concrete screws. Both are cheaper than Rawbolts, need a much smaller diameter hole and hold a greater load.

Top info thanks! I've used fischer plasterboard rawlplugs and they are the dogs boll*cks compared to all other similar products.

I just wonder about corrosion of the threads with these screw-in fixings. Will they still have a good hold in 10 or 20 years? Then again, rust does expand.:scratchhead:
