£2.85 for 4ft and £3 5ft.
I had a long run out today to do 50 4ft for some one and they were more than happy to pay 3 quid a bale.

I was led to believe a 5 foot bale hold 33% more grass than a 4 foot , could be wrong info though

And there’s twice as much in a 6ft as a 4ft

5 foot bale is 56% bigger than a 4 foot.
6 foot bale is 125 % bigger than a 4 foot.

£5 here. Cost of baling and wrapping silage minus the cost of the wrap. Not many people want round bales of hay...

As a rule of thumb it's around 10/t for baling hay and straw around here, plus fuel.

You'll use less net and spend less time tieing/ejecting but the customer is saving a lot of time handling less bales.

I'd be putting a fair bit of net on a 6ft bale!

not sure about that ,we could sell as many as we could make , its making the blighters without additive thats the difficult bit without settled weather. Today we needed another sunny day but cried off and baled for haylage ,good job too as its raining fairly heavy now
