Can this be claimed back as normal ppi ?
Can I even find out if I paid any ? I certainly didn't ask for it but it has been suggested it was included anywy

Yes PPI is PPI surely? I would think this would be another massive claim as I doubt anybody has thought of it. Just think of the amount in the construction sector!

i suspect it would depend on who the loan was against if it was you personally yes quite a likely a valid claim if it where in a business i suspect not as business don't have anywhere near the protection individuals get .
put a claim in anyway won't cost you anything , most banks have web site ink for the claims process its easy to do don't pay one of those claims companies to do it for you i got the MRS a few quid back by doing her claim for her
