Whitewashing farm buildings

I do the outside of a couple of stone built barns in my yard. Did them this spring with a 50/50 mix of snowcrete and hydrated lime, this looks great and lasts a lot longer than lime only. Look past the tractor and you'll get an idea.

How do you apply it? Hoping to spray it on.
funny you should say that we going to try spraying this time when we get chance ! we brushed it on last time it covered really well . I got one of them ebouer sprayers from screwfix think it was about £ 50 but not tried it yet !

I put a bag of lime in an empty cattle trough with a couple of pints of clean engine oil and about a pint of PVA or SBR, whatever is nearest. Then mix with the pressure washer, keeping the nozzle down in the lime so there are no splashes. Just keep the washer going while mixing and you'll make a really good creamy mix to apply with a soft floor brush.
Keep the brush close to the wall while you apply to avoid covering the ground with wash.
