What have I done !

You can get away with a hell of a lot on healthy soil and it will fix itself. You should see some of the messes I've made feeding stock outside, small areas admittedly not whole fields. As long as it's not badly rutted or the ruts are levelled then it will come good soon enough. I suspect your subsoiling will be the same.
Just don't make a habit of it ;)

not really but there has been a lot of traffic as a lot of free Pas100 compost and biosilid has / is going on
The biosolid has to be incorporated within a day or two anyway doesn't it?
Wouldn't get away without doing so round here.
Compost is fine left.
I made a similar mistake a few years ago, regretted it ever since, the combine left bigger wheelings the following year too, amazing how it snowballs along compounding the mistake.

Hey @Clive
Really enjoying your approach to agriculture & business. Thank you.
This may not be the best place to post this, but what the hell aye ?
Thought you might be interested in this little video.
Zero - till has been the default farming system for most Australian Cropping areas for 20 years or more - largely due to moisture conservation & our climate.
But - there are lots of interesting people taking the next big step.
I hope you find this little snippet interesting. There is a lot of Farmer driven work going on here . . .

it does yes, first time we have used it for sometime (I wont pay for it) - we have a carrier that could have ticked that box with a fast light 1" pass and that was the plan until I lost leave of my senses !

@Clive , you're a proffesional farmer, you're switched on and do not do something unless it'll pay you back.

Forgive me, but there must have been something lurking in the back of your mind that 'ok'd' this move.

I'm very interested as someone desperately trying to convince himself no till would work in my circumstances, has now received a blow below the water line !

its was the amount of wheeling I think, we have never applied so much compost and maybe this (so far wet) august was not the right time to do so

don't worry all this has done for me really is remind myself of the pointless stupidity of deep cultivation, its been a long time for me and I guess I just forgot !

Just think of all those muppets out there who have serviced their cultivators and are waiting for a dry spell to make a start. The poor sods haven't got a clue that they are about to commit the ultimate sin....

Get this guy in, he clearly is one step ahead of you !

It's only a subsoiler pass for heavens sake. There should be little or no inversion, it looks coarse and lumpy now but will be easy to put back in no time. So you've killed a few worms, they will recover over the coming years and have just had a horde of biosolids and compost to get to work on.

The only problem you may have is explaining to us all what you intend to do when this particular field of OSR out-yields the rest come harvest.

Hello, my names Clive, and I’m a cultivator.
I use to have it bad, I even owned a quadtrac!
But then I found the light and discover zero-till, it was hard work and took years to get over the cultivations but with the help of the TFF massive I finally got on the straight and narrow and even went to a 36m CTF system.
But recently though I’ve felt myself slipping, I’ve had uncontrollable urges to cultivate! I can’t explain it, maybe it was the time on my hands or the site of the subsoiler sitting unused in the yard or the thought of shiny metal been dragged through soil:cry:, I just can’t explain it.
Then it happened  I found myself dragging cold steal through warm soil and it felt so good to feel the earth move:nailbiting:. But now I’ve realised what I’ve done and I’m regretting it:facepalm::LOL::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
