Fight fire with fire ?

The OP is poor, very poor. Yours is better, but how many of the ingredients listed for a veggie sausage are also in a meat one?

Fight lies with truth, and I’m good. Fight it with bigger lies and I’d rather you didn’t use my industry as your liar.

there was a vegan fb post of a calf being dehorned. The caption said that it was the farmer taking a sample of meat from the head to see if it was ready to eat yet.
I don't see any lies being told in the OP.
As has been posted in the livestock thread, George Monbiot is now telling his disciples to eat meat. Please, please don't waste energy arguing among ourselves just as the tide may be turning.

It does make you wonder given the people who are so keen on plant based foods, chemically produced by corporate giants in a big factory......are the same people who object to Monsanto, Roundup etc. who are also corporate giants who produce chemicals in big factories...........but at least these are only found in trace quantities in the food they are used to produce!

Have a real problem with this as anyone with a Gluten allergy will tell you it is very difficult finding traditional sausages that do not contain Gluten yet no mention in your real sausage.

Tesco's Finest are Gluten free, Heck are gluten free and Sainsbury's do one as well

I notice they left out the 'normal ingredients' in a typical supermarket sausage though.

Pork 56%, Water, Rice Flour, Pork Rind, Pork Fat, Salt, Stabiliser (Disodium Diphosphate), Dextrose, Bamboo Fibre, White Pepper, Ginger, Nutmeg, Mace, Yeast Extract, Preservative (Sodium Metabisulphite), Caramelised Sugar Syrup, Flavouring, Antioxidant (Ascorbic Acid), Paprika Extract.

If you want to 'fight fire with fire' being economical with the truth does not help IMHO.
Quite right that is why you should buy proper meat sausages. Recipe we have done for us excludes all fillers as most contain gluten which disagrees with me. Taste is very different from low meat content sausages.

Processed food is processed food.

I remember a situation where eggs were vilified by "Scientists" and the medical fraternity. Only for decades later for eggs to be given the all clear .. A whole food has both positive and negative parts that balance each other out.

My guess is you're wholely invested in an ideology.

As I say processed food is processed food. Man made food created by combining chemicals has never proven to be healthy.

Again you know this .. any farmer knows this, anyone that eats the food they grow knows this .. but you're invested in something where you're willing to throw out the baby with the bath water.

How you can use the word "Lies" in combination with these posts .. btw EXACTLY the same situation with Butter .. vilified to create Margarene sales, which is literally plastic.

Succinic acid - a natural acid found in broccoli, fresh meat, cheese etc. It's probably in most meat burgers too ffs.

If you're going to stake a claim for being superior, then do so with integrity. The ASA would never allow the infographic you have there, and rightly so.

Reminds me of the time when Sea Shepherd were busy lobbing butyric acid at the Japanese whaling fleet. According to the Japs it was the very toxin from hell and a single drop would not only instantly dissolve any ship it happened to land upon but would annihilate half the worlds population as well!

As far as I'm concerned telling incredibly obvious lies does nothing to further UK agriculture's image, rather, it it's incredibly detrimental.

I didn't need to research the information on that tweet, its such a bare faced lie.

I don't eat any sausages, meat or otherwise. They are full of absolute crap.

I think the only thing which is full of "Crap" is your post.

Really?
Ever eaten a sausage with only the ingredients listed in the tweet?

The last time I ate a sausage with that few ingredients, I made it myself.

Incredibly obvious lying to make a point lacks any kind of integrity and as such reflects incredibly badly on the industry.

It's embarrassing.
