The Knight Triple Press has a steel front roller option with flat rings along it. I have not experienced one though to see how well it will cut or ride over hard ground, but you could replace the Freeflows front press with a packer roller with rings welded on instead of teeth.Dd some maize game cover inn . seed in the ground ok. But not much good with last years maize trash needs some cutting discs at the front any ideas looked on kramp but not much choice for a small disc to fit.
Have you modified this any further?Good idea worth a phone call.that's y i love the farming forum
We’re they snapping pictures purely on dd? At what spring we’re they blocking up? Was it the tines themselves? I’ve got a Freeflow standard set up at the mo and the levelling boards and following harrows are as bad as the tines themselves. This is an issue for me when only carrying out shallow surface cultivation’s in chopped straw and then trying to drill through it.View attachment 780176 Bought a different drill and fitted these discs.
I did use the free flow to plant some osr last yr but after 4 tines snaped on 25 acres I come to the conclusion it’s not up to it. And it blocked up a couple of times.
What disc is that? Have you a link?Back to it. front cutting discs. Mostly sorted.
Are you able to get parts for the big disc still? My neighbour seems to struggle. The drill wasn’t heavy enough to push the discs in the ground. It did the same when I used the discs on the claydon . The weaving big disc seams to manage it so just been using that if it’s a bit to trashy. Brilliant drill.
