I think he's trying to help Johnson get his deal through parliament. But if it falls I think there's zero chance of an extension request being refused. EU sources are already saying as much.

Yes, a close friend lives there. And no Orban isn’t going to risk the wrath of Germany just to do Boris a favour.
The EU position is as always nuanced. They don’t want delay but more than that they don’t want no deal. There is zero chance of them rejecting an extension request is this deal fails in parliament.

Yes. Last time the extension was for very fluffy reasons, if there's a new request it will be with the surety of either an election or referendum to follow.
Oh and in case anyone needs a laugh, here's Boris last year telling the DUP conference how no British government could ever accept the thing he just negotiated.
