More rain forecast today! I think we have given up on barley it’s just too wet now, we have drilled just under 80 acres out of 200!
We did get 40 acres of that in this week but having to move the ground in front of the drill and letting it dry you need 2 or 3 days dry and we just don’t get it.
Also have 130 acres of wheat to drill, if we don’t get that drilled I don’t know what we will put in in the spring.
On a brighter note we did plough in 24 acres of beans but we had to stop because it’s too wet, we do have 20 acres of light ground which we will be able to plough next week and that could be it.
I’ve worked here for 36 years and I’ve never known an autumn like this.

Bang on 20mm here...15 of which came through the night Friday into Saturday23mm just emptied, includes the 6mm from Friday.
Reckon we got off lightly.
