Raining here now, strong winds behind it too. This picture was from Wednesday, spider's webs covering the furrows. Only 10 acres left

More rain forecast today! I think we have given up on barley it’s just too wet now, we have drilled just under 80 acres out of 200!
We did get 40 acres of that in this week but having to move the ground in front of the drill and letting it dry you need 2 or 3 days dry and we just don’t get it.
Also have 130 acres of wheat to drill, if we don’t get that drilled I don’t know what we will put in in the spring.
On a brighter note we did plough in 24 acres of beans but we had to stop because it’s too wet, we do have 20 acres of light ground which we will be able to plough next week and that could be it.
I’ve worked here for 36 years and I’ve never known an autumn like this.

Just hoping the 2 main becks through our farm don’t top over as that will really knacker it. They have a foot to go at the moment but rising

Nothing drilled here. Horsch sprinter on 5 inch Dutch openers at present. Any mileage in trying cereal drilling with the bean coulters? Will the packer run any cleaner with less soil disturbance, or am I just being hopeful? Wider row spacing doesn't worry me too much. Any body tried it?
