Modified last winter. Replaced the crinkly disks with a rotavator (60" widened to 3 m with old pipe) and just one set of blades behind each leg. Also changed the Kongskilde drill for a Monosem. Photos in due course!

Muck spreading 1972. The Kidd spreaders had a rubber belt floor and needed to be stored indoors to stop UV light degrading it.

Just found these pictures, fantastic history and thanks for posting.
Very interested in these pictures of there kydd spreaders, we had two of these and encountered endless problems with the belts moving out of line.
Kydd's man came out , took one look at our Drott loading shovel and blamed that as it was dumping too big a load in at a time. Did you have issues? our went down the road for Howards after a couple of years.

I was overseas at the time, but do not recall any issues.

2013 We sold the Holsteins through Wright Manley and Clive Norbury went and found us some in-calf Brown Swiss from Bavaria. This is the first load of 33 coming home.

Did all 33 come on the one Pezzi trailer? They did well with the 4m o/a height running rule in Germany

Yes, all in one. The second load left Munich at 3pm and were off loaded here before 10 am. Father and son drivers, 650 hp tractor unit I think - Alps not a problem! They came off the truck as though they had come from 10 miles away. They drank the water tanks dry, ate some food then all went to sleep.
