Survey: Transmission of bovine TB via badgers to cattle

If you are a dairy or beef farmer please could you take a couple of minutes to fill in my survey for my final year university project. Any problem has anything to do with product design. The point of final year is to design something that solves a current problem whatever that problem may be. Clearly I have posted this wrong or something since people don't seem to be actually interested in filling it out they are just picking holes with grammar and my course.

There is NO product either on the market currently or one that could be designed/ built that will do anything to help solve the TB issue!

That may be the case which is why I have multiple different topics that I am researching, this is just one of them. Plenty of farmers are using makeshift methods to keep badgers away from feeding troughs etc which is what I am interested in finding out about.

There is no makeshift methods that will keep badgers away from feed troughs if you also want cattle to access them.

Also the biggerr issue isn't feed troughs but the badgers pissing/shitting in/on the grazing grass!

Filled out, do agree with above and put it, there isn't a product which could or will help to solve it, just to make other people money and dodge the real way to sort the problem.

Thanks for your insight :) there is conflicting information in journals about whether it is pasture or feeders that badgers come into contact with cattle most however everyone does seem to agree that urine is the most contagious element

Nothing conflicting about it!

Badgers will pee/sh!t on the grass = TB infection for cattle

Badgers will pee/sh!t in the trough/ around the trough area = TB infection for cattle!

Most farms don't feed cattle cake in the field yet graze their cattle and they still go down with TB.

We all know what the problem is being caused by and what needs to be done and re-designing feeders wont make hardly one iota of difference if the former isn't done!
