Square bale trailer

Has anyone made a self loading bale trailer for taking bales out with atv/utv?
If I load my trailer with a jcb I can fit a whole bale in easy but if I load it by hand I can only get half-three quarters in, the loads fall out along the way because it’s piled up so high!
Was thinking of making something like I use for the combi clamp that winches it up onto a chassis.
just wondered if anyone has already made something?

A trailer the size of the bale when its laid down on its largest side then load it with the JCB and remove the strings at the field and chuck the wedges out? Could also carry two bales at a time if needed. Or conventional bales...?

I can already fit a whole bale in with the jcb. Trouble is, jcb gets tied up doing other jobs or bales are at a different part of the farm. If I could go and set the bales out once or twice a week with the jcb and load them daily by myself it would be a dream!

What about putting the bale’s upright once a week against a wall so all you have to do is reverse up to it and push it in? Sod’s law they’d bend like a banana before you get there?

Have you seen these.

I'd rather put the money towards a loader for a tractor though if the handler is regularly tied up.

Sounds like it might be better to buy a second loader and that will be able to do anything rather than just one thing

I would say another loader, which sounds like it's only needed for 1 job, is a very expensive way to go (especially if there isn't a spare tractor already) compared to the basic trailer/chassis Shep is wanting, which will get used plenty taking bales out...
