From the top of the first page of the Twitter account that they buried the unused footage of the regenerative grass fed beef in......

@BBC

Our mission is to enrich your life and to inform, educate and entertain you, wherever you are.

.....hardly very informative or educational when they hide half the story, especially as they'd spent even more of our licence money to film it in the first place :banghead:

They could easily of swapped it for the piece at the end with the ex vet and his hippy commune, beating the chicken over head with a piece of wood.

Just for balance, this made me laugh, a post on the Animal Rebellion fb page :)

Amazing how few people saw this and how under publisized it was....oh are we surprised......people do 'not' want to know because they don't want to feel guilt about their choices and basically they just don't CARE!!! Simple as that. They deserve what they get...

Having watched the program I was left thinking it was a marvellous advert for UK produced livestock. Having seen Beef lots, mega Dairies and Hog Farming US style it is a true record and one that I would not want to be party to. It was noticeable that corporate business seems to be the driver to the scale of production, Company feedlots, bed and breakfast Hogs. UK farm production is way different but we may need to be limited in individual unit size to ensure avoiding similar criticism in the future. Big is not always beautiful.

Given the choice of production, family run units deliver a more customer friendly product. We should be avoiding the corporate style agribusiness that was well documented in the program.

I remember talking to a lady that lived in the corn belt in the USA. She commented that once the local farmers started to irrigate their maize the humidity got so high they went to their summer house in the Hills. I would suggest that it is a problem when your activity changes the local climate. That’s the USA for you.

I'm normally contacted by H & W radio when anything Agriculture comes up and am a regular contributor but today I had no knowledge of what they were going to do or say and it was very biased against farming . When I rang in to complain I was told they were following guideline directives from higher up !!
I mentioned this to someone else today who suggested that we could ask the BBC for this directive under the freedom of information act?

Ever been to any feedlots north of the border in Canada?
I go to a pub/restaurant on Vancouver Island that gets its beef from a feedlot in Cashe Creek, and my guess that's no random choice as they take their food very seriously, they also have a very extensive vegan menu too.
It's too simplistic to tar everyone with the same brush and if in doubt when procuring food, ask where its sourced from and its provinence.
Do people question the authenticity and provinence of vegan food or just accept the labeling only???

At the top end of Tofino high street?
