Would like to buy a dumpy or two of high protein pellets or soya to lift the protein for creeping calves running with mothers. Could anyone recommend a supplier or product?

many thanks.

anybody had any ewe cob prices yet ???

I was quoted £235 for Lea Oakes 19% (Aston Gold Rolls), GLW Supreme Ewe 19 Rolls £269/ton, GLW Premium Ewe 18 Rolls £254/ton. All a couple of weeks ago and for 4-5t drops in bulk. Prices reflect rate of soya inclusion.

I went with the GLW Supreme ewe to try. Feeding less of it and lambs are coming out plenty strong enough, with bags of milk on the ewes.

Just had bill for last weeks 14% beef blend £188/t collected up £2 from last month with barley dropping ,
is this a sensible price ? keep thinking i ought to be be buying rolled barley + protein nut but mill is nice and handy to collect!

Rolled barley £143...then £10/T for minerals...then whatever your protein pellet costs

We sometimes dribble a bit of 34% in with it for the youngstock to make it up to 16% , think that was £350/t in bags , so if 14% was a 83/17 mix there wouldn't be a lot in it
