I see Somersets most popular police officer has been at it again booking a guy with for driving a tractor to the pub...most possibly just droping in for a pint...a fine and 8 points...why don't they solve daily crime rather hitting easy targets

But the tractor driver shouldn't be drinking and driving ,,!

Cant see any reason why ones Insurance doesnt cover calling into the pub if you passing during or after working in a field, fine if ya drinking orange i suppose

Ok, so suppose some young buck is driving a tractor and rake for a contractor one day and stops at a petrol station on his way to the next farm. There he buys a costa coffee and a ginsters- normal pilot fare.

He then leaves the premises and continues on to the farm.

Has he broken the law?

Have to say if you started to run to the Local weekly long after any work had been done iam unsure how the law stands as your using red cherry for recreational pleasure.... too many wrongs really here

AFAIK done nothing wrong as long as its enroute & not a 10mile detour

Not sure what they booked him for? our insurance covers the lot, social domestic pleasure, business use contracting, tractor runs
so I'm guessing its the red diesel thing. I often pull in for a coke during a hot day

Thats hellish, i might just check with my Lot n see out of interest, not that i can say ive ever been in a pub with tractor outside, oh yes i was about 8years ago & yes i was passing.

He was not accused or charged with that...just that his insurance did not cover him,the policeman went to great trouble to find that out
