Not sure about further north but Stamford and Pytchley are quite close to Ben Burgess. JD seem to like big flashy dealerships with multiple branches.

J D have stated they have two years to be minimum size Eu 100 million and there are only about four out that are that size already
So just you wait for the blood bath

Monopolies are never a good thing. Guess my local JD dealer with get swallowed up by Cornthwaites or Rea Valley

John Deere want 12 main dealer groups (if I remember right) to cover uk and Ireland within the next 5 years apparently.
So I’ve been told from someone on the inside, not sure how many are left now anyway?

It's a sad do. I also heard the other day from a contact at a JD dealer, they had been told if you don't turn over €100million then you must merge with a neighbouring dealer or loose the franchise. It's quite a statement to make.

The issues I am told are retaining quality staff

Not sure the franchise is the money spinner it once was

They control how much money you make by turning the discount dial up and down depending on how well your doing
