An interesting take on it .(dont tell @Danllan). Probably why they both got elected. If Johnson comes back from Brussels with his oven ready deal now cooked and it proves to be an undercooked BRINO,the ERG group will do for him like they have done to all the previous Tory pms.
We'll be out of the EU on Jan 31st. Boris is a social liberal, not so much of a liberal in re the EU though. His majority also allows him to push harder for things the EU would not give to someone who could not walk away and be sure of legislating in that regard if he wishes...

My guess is that it won't be as hard a Brexit as most in the ERG would wish for, but will not be as soft as many others hope either.

And privatised railways are costing the taxpayer just as much, if not more. That wasn't in the plan.
People forget that Network Rail was nationalised with minimum compensation by Tony Blair many years ago. Whilst the train operating companies take nearly all of the flak (some of it richly deserved) many of the current problems lie firmly at the door of Network Rail.

I agree there are certainly huge issues, and the greatest one is as you say the slow speed sand huge cost of the line improvements. Massive cost overruns, gross overmanning, poor planning and the blame can nearly all be laid at the foot of just one company, Network Rail.
And who owns Network Rail, you and I the taxpayer! It may not be called nationalised , but as they say if it flies ands quacks its a duck!
And many of those issues are as a result of fragmentation of the industry - under BR the infrastructure teams could do what needed to be done without months of negotiations with multiple parties & having to pay compensation etc. Look at what happened when Railtrack - a plc - was in control & how well that worked out!

Think eu will be carbon neutral at a later date now the cleanest in leaving?

Compaired to Greece for example all coal and others in eu .
Compare to the rest of the World ,China ,eastern block,India etc etc we are spotless.

At 6,5 tons per capita you are nowhere near the cleanest in the EU, funnily enough you're actually worse than Greece who's at 6,2.
France, Spain and Italy are also all cleaner than the UK... Not to mention us nordics.

That's probably my fault , I'm probably near 50 tons .... but no worries climate change is fake news .

She’s a Tory supporter isn’t she? She’s always being accused of bias against labour..
Early morning Thursday election coverage about when the Tory’s got their majority she gave what sounded like resounding praise for Borris painting a picture of a can do man listing his achievements of doing what others said couldn’t be done., she sounded like his no1 fan

I'm surprised the bbc would employ a Tory supporter
