A quick search on Google shows Hugh Barr was awarded an MBE in 2015

they survived because they weren't snowflakes back in the old days it was common to get off and walk alongside warm your hands on the exhaust and adjust the plough just think boys no cabs sitting there for ten hours in the cold no heater no shelter bugger all creature comforts,

Ex ww2 flying jacket that was miles to big held together with an army webbing belt and motor bike gloves the fur on the inside black with heating your hands with the exhaust smoke the joys.
