John Deere reducing dealerships

They’ve all got targets to hit, end of bike season too so most are glad for custom through the door. PCP is killing the bike trade, the amount of stuff out there under 3 years old with under 5k miles on is unreal. The dealers will make on selling the finance but are then stuck with another trade in to shift on. PCP amazes me tbh, you can have this 20k bike for only £190 a month with a 3k deposit, you cant do more than 2k miles a year and need to pay 14k at the end of it or sign up for another 3 years. Madness to impress the neighbours in my opinion

3yr old cars have been available on PCP now for few years, afterall how are they going to shift the 3 yr old ones!! Ex demo or two or three year old cars available for handy money have now gone. These lease/Contract hire/ PCP deals are what’s hiking car prices up as an extra £20 a month and a few grand on the baloon or extend the term from 36 to 40months is nothing for the ’I want to be better than my neighbour’ mentality.

Does make you wonder why all the dealers in the uk don't work together on this situation.

Or would that be like trying to herding cats☹

All for one and one for all.

Where are you based? Burdens’ area was covered by Bourne Tractors/Doubledays and Sharmans. Their downfall was due to them not being able to do fleet deals with the big veg growers and generally living in the last century for sales techniques.
