Spent hours as a youngster toting on those about the pasture that bordered the house and garden.... couldn't be sprayed cause of the grapes and tomatoes growing on the other side of the fence. Causing the leaves to curl on moms tomatoes was a criminal offense :nailbiting::ROFLMAO:

Pure Chinese quality.........

And if you use the wide end then you can half-cultivate the area in the process of digging out the root - great for ragwort for the sheep-deficient

But these days a "hickory" handle is seldom what it says, digging in the paddocks where the soil is good the cheapies are fine but any exposed clay banks test them out, I am looking for one with and environmentally unfriendly FRP handle but to no avail
Actually manuka works as a good hickory substitute, only problem is finding a piece straight enough.

Any of the Aussie brigade familiar with men’s sheds?

Every town around the Adelaide Hills and Barossa has a men’s shed. All linked to a church which made it a bit too bible bashy for me but it’s a great idea to get blokes together to talk and learn.

Probably very non PC!

Thanks,we have a small building in our village,as it happens in the grounds of the church which could possibly make a ‘men’s shed’.

I‘ve floated the idea to one or two and there seems to be a positive response.

Think I’m going to pursue it.(y)

I think it’s a great way to address men’s mental health issues in the countryside.

The couple I went to (my cousins father in law was chair of our local one and my boss was chair of one in the Barossa) were a good chin wag, few beers and a bbq and usually a talk by someone with an interesting job, skill or hobby. Bit like YFC in some ways! But there were also prayers and sh1t too which is a bit much.[emoji57]

As far as I’m aware, it seems to be a country town sort of thing. (I may be wrong, I never lived in a city.) Go for it I say!

Something like that with the blade narrowed down would be ideal, that's similar to what I grew up on the end of  but it had a spike on one end
It was good for loosening up rocks to get nodding thistles out from in between, f**k the nodders

They were released in 1988, those old girls gave Honda quads free marketing for the next century (y)
They redesigned the front steering geometry for 1991 making them steer a bit better (and with less muscle).
We had a 4wd one and later a 2wd one as well, sad that they ever felt the need to "improve" on them in some ways because they were about the right weight and size IMO for a simple farm quad, but I suppose you need a 8x8 foot trailer with 19 ewes on it these days to be a proper farmer
Gave the sticker a wipe.. .its a 97 model. Made in the USA apparently.
