I have an animal that was sold to me as an Angus x steer from a dairy herd
Its now @ 12 month old and has small horns??
Horns are no where near as big as they would have been if it was a Limmy .
Spoke to guy I bought it off, and his records obviously say its an AA.
However BCMS won`t alter the passport unless breeder says its wrong.

Cannot really sell it as an Angus if its got horns

Or do Angus crosses sometimes have horns???

assuming it's the same as in sheep it'd be odd to have horns/scurs in a wether with one true polled parent....if it were a ram lamb maybe.....i reckon op's animal has small horns due to castration and there were horns in both parents

once had an angus bull bred 3 horned calves in 1 year, bull,s mother and father were both canadian imports, 2 of the calves were out of aa/friesen cows and the third was out of a blue grey. farmer who sold me the bull, bought all the aax bullocks asked me if i had bought the three of them as twin ons.

It can happen with the modern Angus. Had a bull here that threw quite a few with horns. Definitely were horns but never grew full sized like a limmy
