Readin classic tractor and it said cummins in talks with tractor manufacturers about supplyin them engines. So its unlikely gonna be massey fendt valtra jd case nh steyr 4 pot kubota 4 pot zetor deutz same as they all already have ther own engines made in house. The other options include mccormick claas landini lindner zetor and kubota 6 pot. So as kubota recently purchased versatile and they already use cummins could it be that kubota plans to introduce 6 pot cummins in smaller than versatile tractors to fit between them and a m7. Possibly a m8 comin? Obviously just my own theory

Does fpt own cummin or vice versa?

From what I remember Cummins had a shared company with Case Corp called CDC, (consolidated Diesel corp) it goes back to the 80’s as I remember reading about a 1494 prototype testing with a CDC engine.

Sometime in the mid 90’s EEA was formed, (European Engine Alliance) they developed the NEF (new engine family) a joint venture between Cummins, Iveco and NH. Later NH became CNH global.

Cummins owned a 50% share in CDC so too CNH, Cummins bought its share out about 2010 owning CDC outright.

Cummins sold its 33% share in EEA making it fully under FPT control.

So not involved with each other any more so it is a cummins engine bein fitted to kubota

Farmers Guardian had a feature in their machinery section this week, tractors being Dyno tested. The Cummins engine in the Maxxum put in a stonking performance, better than newer tractors.
