A tad breezy here all night, but really built up in the last hour or so. Rain is on & off, but when it’s ‘on’, it’s like a pressure washing playing on the windows.
All the sheep on roots had new blocks yesterday afternoon, so that they’ll have full bellies to stand with their backs to it today. I won’t be disturbing them.

Strong gusts in Leicestershire. Wondering if such extensive use of 3rd hand, 70 year old timber to hold the cladding on some of the sheds was such a wise choice

It's not just the strength of the wind it's the direction. We normally get gales from the west, this is veering south east which will test things from a different direction.

Ok its has been a bit wetter than i thought
Not seen that much water on fields in a long time little stream from right does come up wen wet and go across field before culvert but not as much as that
And in back ground water waiting to go under manchester water pipe river crossing
Think i may stay in house this morning and do paper work glad its a sunday

Could here it picking up gears from around 10pm last night. By Midnight it was a good steady roar. By 2pm and still now it sounds like one angry angry f**ker.
As mentioned it's the direction that differes with this one. The Rains hitting that hard on the front of the house it sounds like Hailstone.
