John Deere reducing dealerships

In the middle of harvest your Baler needs a part, your local dealer doesn’t have it but their other depot (how ever far away does) you wouldn’t think twice about going to collect the part to get you up and running again. It just means all the stock is in one place rather than being spread about the depots!

Most new JD stuff is linked so dealer knows its' got a problem before you do.
In the future you will get your spares by drone.........maybe......perhaps..??

I still don’t see how you know what not to buy just by looking in a workshop, unless you know what caused it to be there your just guessing

I tend to agree with Glasshouse

Sometimes when buying a vehicle it pays to speak to the mechanics before the salesmen

When looking for a car/van/pickup I usually get a steer from the village garage, as they look after each and every make and model, known to man

They can provide a useful guide to common faults and to which engine is best in a particular model variant - saves buying a lemon [emoji522] and saves a lot of time

I always speak to the mechanic before the salesman but I fail to see how I need to go to a dealership to do it when I can just pick up the phone and call them, most stuff in the dealers workshop you wouldn’t have a clue what is wrong with it or what caused it especially with today’s stuff, you have to take so much off to do the even a mundane job on them

What everyone is forgetting is sharmans had a choice, keep jd but get rid of jcb. They called jd bluff thinking they were too big for jd to lose but they weren’t bluffing so took it away and gave it to other dealers
