Wear in the front axle, faulty spool valves, stepper motor on transmission (but should be okay on this range), error codes that are just character building....

If it is late 2005 or newer it may have a boost function.

It might be worth popping over to forum4farming as there is a massive thread on Steyr built CVXs and several owners. Profi also did a buyers guide to them about five or six years ago

ive been told there more reliable as harder to abuse
We used to have a cvx195
Tremendous tractor. Only real problem is the magnificent front axle. Even with greasing the lots of grease nipples it can wear in one of the many Pivots and bushes.
We had our front hubs machined to take double lip seals that solved the oil leaking problem. That didn't solve one of the teeth coming off a gear in the hub and making it explode. 6 months after repairing that and sending it in to get new shims put in some of the axle it was sounding like a machine gun when you tried to brake. The front diff had exploded. Traded it in for an ex demo 230cvx and have never looked back. Would say the Steyr type cvx is a better tractor to drive. Both are good on fuel.
