Flights booked and paid for in October for Birmingham in April, there was no word of infections or money problems back then...

Same as with the debit card, i have travel insurance too but i cant say for sure if it will cover it, i may look into it to see.

TBH, I was one click short of booking new tickets there now but the way things are im not so sure if its wise to be traveling at all, especially to where i was intending on going to which was to a show in the NEC, i dont think its wise to be going to somewhere where masses of people are gathering from round the world at this stage.

Serious flaws with budget airlines as a business model.

Why charge peanuts for something that isn't cheap.

If we are serious about climate change, we need to be flying less.
I agree with that but, and im no scientist but ive a funny feeling the save the climate ship has sailed or certainly its well away from the dock, i would guess at this stage Rome is burning all be it somewhat slowly.
we'll do away with ourselves eventually, in some areas of technology we cant get there fast enough it would seem..

Flybe has been in trouble for several years, it would hVe gine bust before Christmas, but it appeared the government was offering it a lifeline by letting it off the £30million air passenger duty that it owed.
sadly for them of course all the other airlines began to hold back the APD they were due to pay the exchequer.
Our new chancellor has decided he has a better use for this cash and demanded his due.

Didn't HMRC just extend the payment due date?
A business will never survive if it sells its services for less than the cost of providing them.
Race to the bottom continues apace.

Blaming corona virus? Come on it’s only been around a matter of weeks... if there business model can’t sustain a couple of bad weeks work then they’ve got serious problems.... I bet there directors had plenty of millions in bonus’s last year! When air travel is cheaper than using the train or driving it yourself or even a bloody bus then it’s always gonna come too a crashing end eventually
