I'd get a lot of sheep on and get it grazed down first, looks like a fair bit of winter kill
Just the tips suffering a bit of wind scorch. Be off in 4-5 weeks ... and I hate sheep

I'm sure I saw on FB a team of clowns rallying round a field burning diesel to chase a few lawn clippings about a month ago.

You're lucky to have a climate that allows that amount of grass over the winter.
Our grass has shrunk and gone purple/brown this past 10 days.
We often get a windy frost in Feb/March which makes grass disappear.
Even our wheat is looking scorched just now.

Being naughty I could say if it carries machines plus 3 ton of fert. It would carry a jersey or 2. Removing machinery from a cows food source is generally a good idea. But I won't say that.
Slurry is done here, just fert pending. Not getting the temperatures to inspire me yet though.

I hate sheep, but I like good silage, I suspect that grass is better than the photo makes it look
Baldy needs to house his cows, so he can use his new toy to spread the slurry.

a farmer customer of of mine used to say sheep was his 13 milk cq and Didd a lot more good then the cq
Tbh I have been a little disingenuous.
The missus is away so I have to walk the dogs and so far have only managed to get to the field behind the house .... the only one that wasn't grazed with sheep! Has the dirty water irragator running in it though
And the dog isn't an Airedale as they are Dalmatian sized. This is a Welsh Terrier - little bit bigger than a Jack Russell
