Certainly reads like you’re stuck in ages past from what you’ve written there - mysogeny alive and well in Pembs, it seems.

I look at my own choices, and speak to real people, not just those in the Mart. First choice statistic after number of seats is mpg. Turbos add power without using more fuel - that’s why they are so popular.

My first GTi was in 1991, made 115hp and got 25mph, this one has 190hp and gets 50mpg.

Oh, and in the real world, folks don’t buy trucks, they buy family cars. Best selling were the focus and fiesta, last time I looked.
this thread has taken a personal tone i don't much care for, however i am not stuck in the past just offering a few observations, by your own admission you drive a gti thats 190 bhp a nice car but it isnt a polo! and buy the way ive not been to the mart for three years>

I was referring to your “buy the wife a little runabout” comment - apologies if you feel such an attitude is contemporary, but it certainly isn’t in most households. Of course, I may have misunderstood your post - it’s not easy to follow in the absence of any punctuation.
