I got an extension made for my fert sower si it can hold 3 600kg bags but it was mistakenly galvanized. It's a new sower and I wanted it painted.what prep work needs to be done so I can paint the new galvanised extension

I've no experience in it at all but id have thought you'd get away with painting the top coat straight on. The galv would be the primer

Paint direct on like galvanised roof sheets I would have thought.

A primer is available specifically for galvanised steel, then 2-3 coats of polyurethane topcoat in which ever colour required. Ideally blast the galv to key it.

Mordant solution then normal primer and top coats. Have used it to do galvanised chassis on Landrovers.
