My wifes friends husband is in the police and he's been told total lock down up here buy the weekend, army out the lot, after schools that the last big thing, so maybe rubbish but l wonder.

Good luck if they think a large scale lock down will be adhered to/ possible to sustain for more than 2/3 weeks at most if they do it!
And have they really got enough people in the Army/Navy etc to patrol all the streets/ roads/ city's etc in the UK?? very unlikely!

A few weeks is either a complete lie to get people to comply or the Gov have not a clue what they are doing!
Any large scale lockdown to work will have to be for at least 4+ months and more than likely untill they get a vaccine because if for example they do it for 6 weeks and then lift it then within 2/4 weeks the infection rate will be at today's level again and they will have to do another total lock down.
In Italy the total lock down is actually increasing infection rates as family's are stuck indoors 24/7 packed together like sardines.

No such thing. Essential workers still go to work or power , food and water would stop etc. People still allowed out to get essential shopping.

They will have too lockdown . No one is listening and they have a major problem at Supermarkets atm . Hundreds and Thousands queuing too get in and at tills .

Scotland on total lock down come Friday night, so folk with those hoggs still on farm will have missed that boat, unless special rules for markets
